Hotels in Katavi

Chada Katavi
Chada Katavi is situated in the core of Katavi National Park, reputed to be one of the wildest places on earth. From its elevated vantage point on a peninsula that rises out of woodland, the camp is perfectly positioned for panoramic views over the Chada plain. The canopy of acacias, kigelias and tamarinds are a popular source of shade and food for the abundant bird and animal species that inhabit the region, creating world-class game viewing opportunities, almost without you having to leave the camp. The true wonder of Chada Katavi awaits when you venture out to meet the animals face to face. From Chada Katavi you can take your pick from game drives in open 4 wheel drive vehicles, walking with an armed guide, fly camping out for the night under the stars or simply enjoying soaking it all up from your tent veranda. The camp itself is very much a traditional tented camp, refreshingly simple, comfortable and elegantly hosted. With a maximum of 12 guests in camp at any time, you are guaranteed as much privacy and isolation as you wish.

Fly Catcher Katavi Camp
The comfortable Katavi Camp is placed on a most beautiful spot next to the airstrip. All tents and the big on three sides open mess-tent are overlooking the Katisunga Plains characterized by its groundwater flows and abundant game. The sound of hippos, elephants and fish eagle gives a permanent sound background. The spacious Manyara tents have connected private toilets and showers and a small 'terrace' with easy chairs. They are equipped with wooden beds with Nordic bedding, bedside tables/shelves, table, luggage rack, solar lamps. Game drives will be provided in Landrovers 110/D with pop-up roofs, single seats and by a most experienced driver guide.

Katavi Wilderness Camp
Accommodation at Katavi Wilderness Camp consists of large, luxurious safari tents, that are well camouflaged in the prime game viewing area. Katavi Wildlife Camp is very exclusive with only six tents luxurious in size and furnishings and cunningly set back in amongst the trees that line the floodplain, providing both shade and camouflage in the prime game viewing area of the park, where the wildlife are unaware of your presence. The camp will be small and select with personalised hosting and guiding by an experienced professional guide.
